  I went in, not expecting anything, just to look around and see what sweet fur babies the city had that day. The very first dog I see is Richie, he instantly caught my eye, an absolute sweetheart (black and white Bull Boxer which is an amazing companion breed) but the poor guy has a lame back leg. We talk for a moment then I look at the rest, all sweet and in need of good forever homes, but I circle back around to Richie (now called RichBoy for fun) and now he is resting fine. Hogging the ottoman like a real RichBoy. Bongo, now his older brother, and RichBoy get along great. Thank you H.A.S. for spreading the love.

  I came in to adopt a dog for their "Clear the shelters" event. It was my first time going in there and unfortunately the people at the front desk were rude. That day I came in 20 minutes before closing time and felt very rushed by the staff to just choose one because they're almost closing. How can I just choose one? This is an important decision I can't just choose one while being rushed. Therefore, I came back the next day on a Friday and it seems like the same rude people were at the front desk. No smile, no nothing. Just a, "can I help you?" With an annoyed tone. All of this with the exception of the animal control officer who was nice enough to help finish my adoption process even after they had just closed. Please, rude costumer service can really damage the possibilities of the poor animals that can't wait to get adopted and start a new life.
